We offer a wide range of training packages tailored to the varied and complex needs of hospital staff. All of our courses aim to ensure the highest levels of patient safety and regulatory compliance. Covering a broad range of topics, training courses are delivered locally, and can comprise multiple modules to meet individual needs. In addition, Linde Healthcare has developed an e-learning solution for some markets, allowing staff to complete training on basic safety at the time and location of their choice.
Our QI® Training courses differentiate between different levels of competence:
Basic courses focus on essentials such as safe procedures for the handling, storage and use of compressed gas cylinders; safe working practices; understanding the hazards associated with gases and emergency actions for medical gas pipeline systems and cylinders. This training is typically aimed at medical and nursing staff and transporters.
- Full certification courses cover all knowledge required to manage and operate medical gas systems safely and reliably, extending from liquid storage vessels through to gas delivery devices. They cover operational policy requirements, “permit to work” procedures and medical gas supply system controls. Targeted typically at medical engineering staff, this training prepares for the appointment of competent and Authorised Persons (APs). This is a key qualification as international standards and local regulatory guidelines stipulate that medical gas pipeline systems be managed both technically and functionally by a fully qualified AP.
